Schools

The School of Contemporary Music was originally founded in 1985 as the School of Music Education. The official name change took place in July 2018. There are currently 41 faculty and staff members among whom 34 are full-time instructors, and 26 are master supervisors.Among the 607 currently enrolled students, 499 are undergraduate and 108 are graduate students. Three program directions are offered: popular music, music education, and music theatre. The school comprises four departments: popular music, music education, music theatre, as well as foundational studies.

Areas of Study

(1) Bachelor's degrees:popular music, music education, and music theatre;

(2) Master's degrees:vocal performance art, keyboard performance art, contemporary instrumental performance art, music theatre performance art (including voice, acting, and dancing), music theatre composition art, music education, and choral conducting art.
