Founded in 2010, the Media and Communication School is distinguished by its strong curriculum and achievements. In recognition of its quality, the school was granted the titles of a Shandong Province's Project for Characteristic and Notable Universities in Talent Cultivation and a Brand Characteristic Major for Undergraduate Education in 2013, a Shandong Province's High-Level Applied Project Construction Major (Cluster) in 2016, and a Shandong Province's Key Discipline in Culture and Arts During the "13th Five-Year Plan" Period in 2018.Currently, the school offers four undergraduate majors: radio and television production/directing, animation, digital media arts, and photography.Among these, radio and television production/directing, animation, and digital media arts are selected as National First-Class Undergraduate Major development sites. Current enrollment includes over 1,262 students, among whom 1,052 are undergraduate and 210 are graduate students.Faculty and staff amount to 51, among whom 21 hold doctoral degrees, 5 are professors, 29 are associate professors, and 23 are master's supervisors. The school boasts 1 Teaching Master and 1 Young Expert of "Taishan Scholars" in Shandong Province. It has led 5 National Social Science Fund projects and 6 China National Arts Fund projects, and has won awards including the Second Prize in the New Liberal Arts Senior Professional Title Group of the 5th National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers (TIC).
Areas of Study
(1) Bachelor's degrees:radio and television production/directing, digital media arts, animation, and photography;
(2) Master's degrees:academic degree areas include film and television studies. Applied degree areas include animation arts, audiovisual arts, digital media arts, and photography arts.
