Schools

The department of fine arts design founded in 1984 was the predecessor of the School of Design. It was one of the first artistic design majors offered in the nation. In December 2004, it was officially named the School of Design. There are currently 1,417 enrolled students among whom 197 are graduate students. The faculty consists of 15 professors and 36 associate professors.

Areas of Study

(1) Bachelor's degrees: visual communication design, environmental design, art and technology, artisanry, ceramic art design, and artistic design theory;

(2) Master's degrees:academic degree areas include design history and theory studies.Applied degree areas include visual communication design, environmental design, product design, ceramics, and artisanry.
