From May 6 to 12, Xu Mei, Secretary of the Party Committee, led a four-member university delegation on an official visit to the United States and Canada. Relevant officials from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the School of Music, and the School of Arts Management accompanied the delegation.
During the stay in the United States, the delegation paid successive visits to the Chinese Consulate General in New York, New York Film Academy, and Teachers College, Columbia University. While in Canada, the delegation visited Concordia University, Université du Québec, and the University of British Columbia (UBC). Xu Mei attended the China-Canada Cultural and Art Exchange Symposium, where extensive discussions were held on deepening inter-university cooperation, expanding people-to-people exchanges, and building a talent introduction platform.
